Andrew

Andrew Fay - Chief Executive

Andrew has a background in financial services dating back to 1989 when he started at Royal Insurance and achieved the status of being in the top 1% of financial advisers and this led to progression into management. Andrew has the role of CEO as Cavanagh has grown from a small, single office regional advisory firm to an AIM listed national firm offering private client advisory and discretionary services, as well as corporate and actuarial services.  Andrew's current role mainly includes managing the strategic direction and growth strategy of the Group.

Simon Redgrove

Simon Redgrove - Managing Director

Simon started his career in financial services as a financial adviser with Royal Insurance in 1990. He was ranked in the top decile in his freshman year and continued in this position throughout his career.  Simon was promoted to the position of sales manager during this period and ran one of the highest producing teams in the Southern region. Simon has the role of Managing Director and has been instrumental in the strategy, growth and development of Cavanagh to its present day. His main focus is the day to day responsibility of Cavanagh’s revenue generation and the development and management of these areas. All the adviser channels for the Group report through to Simon and he has direct regional responsibility for the adviser teams in our Southern offices.

Neill Millard

Neill Millard - Director

Neill commenced his financial services career in 1989 with Canada Life followed by a move to Royal Insurance where he met both Andrew and Simon with whom he founded Cavanagh. Through his professional contacts Neill developed our financial advice offering to many legal professionals across the UK including Partners of ‘Magic Circle’ Law Firms and leading Barristers and Silks.  He was instrumental in our approval as a preferred Wealth Manager to Members of the Bar.

Neill advises many Private Clients and continues to develop our relationships within the legal sector including arranging sponsorship and support of relevant events.

Charles Gillespie

Charles Gillespie - Group Sales & Marketing Director

Charles has over 20 years financial services and employee benefit advisory experience, including 11 years with Ernst & Young's regulated advisory division prior to the acquisition by Cavanagh Group plc. While with EY, Charles held local, regional and national sales and marketing roles and at the time of the acquisition was National Sales & Marketing Director and Deputy Chief Executive. While the majority of his time is spent in sales management, Charles still enjoys developing both existing and new clients and is always keen to apply the Group's new service initiatives first hand. Charles has sales responsibility for our Northern offices and Corporate division and also assists Simon on a national basis with sales development for the Group.

Ian Henson

Ian Henson – Group Finance Director & Company Secretary

Ian was appointed Finance Director of the Cavanagh Group plc in April 2005. Ian (BSc, ACA) has extensive experience in financial, operational and corporate governance issues. During 2002-2005, Ian was the Chief Financial Officer of the Iocore Group which operated from locations in Scandinavia, mainland Europe, Australia and South Africa. Between 2000 and 2002 Ian was a management consultant, working mainly with IT companies, both publicly quoted and private companies. Between 1997 and 1999 Ian worked as the Finance Director for Kalamazoo Motor Trade plc and then became Head of Finance for Kalamazoo International plc. Ian's current responsibilities also include the Group's national administration function as well as Human Resources.

Gordon Sutherland

Gordon Sutherland - Director

Gordon commenced his career in financial services in 1979 and held various positions within the industry in both Scotland and the South East of England before founding JRG Financial Consultancy in 1988, where he, as Managing Director, had a fundamental role in developing the business as leading financial adviser to corporate clients.

Gordon joined the Cavanagh Group when it acquired JRG Financial Consultancy in November 2007 and is now Managing Director of the Cavanagh Corporate, the Group’s corporate advisory division.

Jonathan Pouteau

Jonathan Pouteau - Director of Compliance

Jonathan has worked in financial services since 1984 which he joined following seven years in the general insurance sector; he joined Cavanagh in 2006. Jonathan’s experience working in sales for companies such as Scottish Amicable and Standard Life enabled him to bring his understanding of the industry to his compliance career which began in the mid 1990s. Jonathan’s current role focuses on all aspects of the regulatory requirements and compliance that applies to Cavanagh.

Rachel Lines

Rachel Lines - Director of Operations

Rachel started her career in financial services in 1991.  Following a period of 5 years with the Halifax, she joined Cavanagh in 1996 in an administrative role.  In the ensuing years Rachel worked closely with the founding Directors and in a number of managerial roles to produce the processes and procedures we have today in the administration, Techncial and IT functions at Cavanagh.  Rachel continues to work closely with her colleagues in sales management and the adviser teams and within her own team network to maximise the efficiencies within the support teams and to continue to deliver an outstanding service to our clients.
