Cavanagh Asset Management has been set up to provide discretionary investment management services exclusively for clients of the Cavanagh Group.

Cavanagh Group has selected one of the UK‘s leading private client investment management companies, Rathbone Investment Management, to provide the Cavanagh Asset Management service.

Your portfolio will be managed by a professional investment manager who specialises in individual investment portfolios for private investors. He or she will take responsibility for making all the decisions about the investments in your portfolio at their discretion, based on your requirements, in conjunction with the strategy outlined by your Cavanagh Group Consultant.

A bespoke investment service

Cavanagh Asset Management has a client-focused approach that complements the services provided by the Cavanagh Group, including direct access to senior investment managers and a commitment to a long-term financial and personal relationship.

Cavanagh Asset Management will spend time with you understanding your specific needs and financial situation, before constructing your portfolio to suit your risk profile.

This service is available to clients with £50,000 to £1 million or more to invest and can include personal portfolios, ISAs and SIPPs, as well as Trust and Charity portfolios.

Depending on the size of the funds available to invest, your portfolio will be constructed for you using either collective investments (such as investment trusts, unit trusts and open ended investment companies (OEICs)) from a range of top quality investment firms, or a broader range of assets including direct exposure to fixed interest securities, equities and alternative funds.

For sums up to around £200,000, one of six investment models, matched to your risk profile will be used. For sums of over £200,000 your portfolio will be constructed and managed on a bespoke basis, with the direct attention of an experienced investment manager. In either case, your Cavanagh Group consultant will be able to discuss the risk implications with you.

The investment process lying behind the asset allocation and selection of individual investments in your portfolio is rigorous and draws on a broad range of inputs.

This includes a constant flow of market information and ideas from brokers, analysts and fund managers across the City of London and regular meetings with the management of companies and collectives in which you may be investing. This knowledge is then applied to the construction and ongoing management of your portfolio.
